Apps from StannardLabs

We've developed a number of fun web and mobile applications, for no other purpose than to amuse ourselves and you. Here's a list of some of the things we've built.

Captain Obvio.us

Captain Obvio.us - a place to share ideas

Captain Obvio.us is a site designed for creative hacker / entrepreneur types who want to share ideas on new products and services and get instant, helpful feedback from other like-minded people.

You can submit ideas to Captain Obvio.us, comment on other people's ideas, and upvote or downvote ideas at your leisure.

Geeky Reads

Geeky Reads is a simple demo site for Quick and Dirty Feed Parser that takes some of the most popular technology feeds and displays them in an iGoogle-esque fashion using jQuery and asynchronous controllers in ASP.NET MVC3.

We're eventually going to make Geeky Reads a data-driven website where users can add new feeds and the contents on the homepage will be dynamic, but right now we're pursuing other projects.

JSONify

I wrote JSONify in an hour in order to give a demonstration of AppHarbor at BarCamp San Diego. Like Geeky Reads, JSONify is also intended as a demonstration of Quick and Dirty Feed Parser - it takes an RSS or Atom feed and converts it into a JSON equivalent.

We haven't done much work on JSONify since BarCamp, but eventually we want to turn it into a real service and add JSONP support.

Additional Cowbell

Additional Cowbell on Windows Phone 7

Additional Cowbell is a simple Windows Phone 7 application that uses the accelerometer to ring a cowbell every time you shake the phone. We wrote the app during the middle of a somewhat dull conference in November, 2010.

It's just a fun gimmicky app you can use to impress / annoy your friends, co-workers, family, and lesser-known acquiantances.
